Back to Data centresNorway, Oslo

The campus is in Hønefoss, which is close to Norway’s most densely populated city Oslo, as well as Norway’s largest international airport.
A total 200MW of IT load is planned across the entire campus. Three sites are under development with the first 6MW already live, an additional 12MW under construction and the rest in development. The site is perfectly situated in terms of power supply, infrastructure, and connectivity.

OSL2
Campus features
OSL2 is a plot next to our first facility – located Hønefoss, close to Oslo and Norway’s largest international airport. The total IT load will be 6-24MW, zoning dependant.
OPTION 1
- Speed delivery for 6MW of IT load – RFS Q2 2027
- Current design with prefabricated modules, air cooling design
- 6MW of IT load (building permit submitted)
- Power 15MVA secured (shared with OSL11.2)
- Rack density 10-15kW average, one storey building, one data hall
OPTION 2
- Potential increase of IT power (up to 24MW), re-zoning in progress
- hscale standard design to apply what will allow high density racks (130kW+)
- Data halls 4MW each, 2 data halls per phase
- Power application extension submitted (cable rating coming to site 40MVA)
- RFS for first phase (8MW) – Q4 2027

About Norway
STRATEGIC LOCATION
Norway’s commitment to green technology aligns with the growing demand for environmentally responsible data operations.
LOW ENERGY COSTS
Abundant, cheap hydroelectric power and low electricity taxes make Norway cost-efficient for data centres.
SUSTAINABLE ENERGY
Norway is a global leader in renewable energy. Primarily powered by renewable sources: 98% hydropower with growing wind and emerging solar energy.
NATURAL COOLING
Norway’s cool climate reduces the need for artificial cooling, cutting operational costs.
STABLE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT
Government incentives, political stability and energy surplus ensure predictable long-term costs.
